Thornton Park | Orlando

Discover the Community

Thornton Park is a stylish community with its own vibe of eclectic residents. It is one of downtown Orlando's historic neighborhoods where you can walk just about everywhere and find what you are looking for. The upscale district has a European feel and offers bungalows, newer brownstones, and towering condominiums to reside in. Many of the bungalows were built in the original Florida "cracker" style with wraparound front porches. Most of the homes were constructed between 1880 and 1930 and many have been updated throughout the years.

The Four Rivers fountain is a community landmark located at the intersection of Washington Street and Hyer Avenue. The Thornton Park Neighborhood Association is very active and loosely governs the area and organizes several events throughout the year. Gatherings with food, drink and live music include the 2nd Thursday Wine & Arts Walk which attracts residents from all parts of Central Florida.

The community of Thornton Park is close-knit and pride in homeownership is evident as you drive down the brick-lined streets. It is very common to see the residents bicycling, jogging or walking the neighborhood. If you are looking for an area to live in where you never have to leave the neighborhood, Thornton Park may be for you!
