Lake Mary

Lake Mary is one of Seminole County's fastest-growing cities and is located approximately 18 miles north of Orlando just off Interstate 4. It has been a top choice for relocating businesses such as AAA, Verizon, Mitsubishi Motors, Scholastic Book Fairs, Duke Energy, and AT&T. This suburban area with an emphasis on single-family detached housing has incorporated well-planned residential communities. Lake Mary was voted by Family Circle Magazine as a 2014 10 Best Towns for Families. Known for its excellent schools the students living in the city are served by eight elementary schools, five middle schools, two high schools, and the private pre-K through 12 Lake Mary Preparatory School.

Heathrow is one of the very established, upscale, guard-gated communities located in Lake Mary.  Heathrow Country Club offers its members golf, aquatics, tennis, health, and fitness and its Legacy Club provides an ideal wedding and special event venue. The Grande Oaks at Heathrow is a guard-gated community located outside the back gate of Heathrow.

Timacuan is a golf and country club community located in the heart of Lake Mary. It is near Colonial Town Park and I-4, and just a quick commute to the SunRail station. Shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance and city parks and Lake Mary Tennis Center are just outside the back gate.

Lake Mary celebrates nature and recreation with the Cross Seminole Trail and Florida National Scenic Trail which offers miles of pristine nature and wildlife as well as a skate park, basketball courts and more. While Lake Mary provides easy access to major destinations like the Orlando theme parks and resorts, the city of Orlando, Winter Park, and Daytona Beach, it offers a full selection of medical and professional services, shopping, dining, golf courses, and entertainment.

Economic development has boomed around the city, particularly in Downtown Lake Mary, where residents enjoy dozens of retail shops and restaurants. The recent opening of the Lake Mary SunRail Station right down the road has spurred even more development around the site. Colonial Town Center also offers a wide variety of eateries, office condominiums, townhomes, and stores. Located about 5 miles away in Sanford, is the Seminole Towne Center.

A luxury senior retirement community, Oakmonte Village, is now a part of the city of Lake Mary and offers its residents independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
