Horizon West is the largest master-planned development in Central Florida and is a cluster of separate but interconnected mixed-use villages served by a Town Center. The property encompasses tens of thousands of acres and will ultimately be home to more than 60,000 people. The six villages each consist of two to four neighborhoods. Schools and community parks are within walking distance of the homes and the size of each neighborhood is pegged to the capacity of its school. Each village has its own commercial center with a grocery and drug store and a major mixed-use Town Center with homes, shops, offices, and public areas serving all the villages. Thousands of acres have been preserved and bicycle and pedestrian paths line every street and connect the villages and neighborhoods to one another.
Horizon West couples the natural beauty and resources of west Orange County with a well-planned, aesthetically pleasing community that says "WELCOME HOME". As a result of this development Winter Garden and Windermere have become the hottest areas in the Orlando area to move.
Hamlin, a 640-acre master-planned development on the east side of the Western Beltway (State Road 429) is destined to become the heart of Horizon West and lies within the Town Center.
